No. I'm not finished yet. (Darn it) Did you know it takes 1 to 6 years for a freshwater pearl to form? 5-20 years if we're talking saltwater.
In light of it being post day for the Insecure Writer's Support Group, I'm sharing a few good revision gems. Make sure to visit the IWSG website to find out how the anniversary will be celebrated this year. Best of luck to all of you who're submitting to the anthology!! Me, I'll have to pass, so I can complete the pearling process.
- Pick up one of these at your local bookstore or order one from Writer's Digest. It won't disappoint you. I promise.
- If you're a one-and-done kind of writer, you might want to check out Holly Lisle's One-Pass Manuscript Revision process. (Obviously one-and-done isn't the process for me. But she does offer some fantastic tips.)
- Revision tips from Necessary Fiction.
- Love, love, LOVE these revision checklists from author Mary Carroll Moore! (Did I mention I loved them?)
~Until next time, write on, y'all!
